• He worked circa 1876-1888 as a jeweler in Rochester NH with a shop at No.2 in the McDuffee Block. In 1888, he retired and sold his business to George Tilton and Frank Richards, who carried on trade as TILTON & RICHARDS.

• He appeared on the census in 1880 in Rochester NH. Listed as a jeweler.
