Moved to Coldwater 1850 where his father, who survives him, conducted a jewelry business. He moved to Marshall, September 1860 where he has resided ever since. Mr. Thompson was a partner with his father in the jewelry business until the fall of 1875 at which time Mr. Thompson Sr., moved to Mt. Pleasant where he established a business, the son continuing the business alone in Marshall until his death."
