• He worked in 1812-1819 as a silversmith in New Bern NC eventually selling out to his former apprentice John Gill, who announced the fact in the Carolina Centinel on 10 April 1819. ¹⁵

• Advertised: Carolina Federal Republican, on 25 Apr 1812. Announcing that he had opened a shop on Middle Street in New Bern, where he intended carrying on the goldsmith and silver smith business in all its various branches. ¹⁵

• Master: John Gill, on 15 Mar 1814, in New Bern NC. ¹⁵

• Master: Samuel Fisher, on 15 Mar 1814, in New Bern NC. ¹⁵
