  • Advertised: Connecticut Journal, in 1794. Shop located two doors west of the new College, Chapel Street, where "work in his profession would be particularly attended to," cash paid for old gold and silver, and an apprentice needed. 3
  • Advertised: Connecticut Journal, in 1796. Continuing to repair watches; had large assortment of watches for sale, also all kinds of gold and silver work, beads, earrings, silver table- and teaspoons, etc, and further added, "Will thank and endeavor to please all those who may hereafter employ him." 3
  • Advertised: Connecticut Journal, in 1797. His need of a journeyman. 3
  • Advertised: Connecticut Journal, in 1800. Informing public in that since he had been deprived of his stand and situation in business by fire," work would be carried on at his father's shop on State Street.

Samuel married Mary Fitch, daughter of Nathaniel Fitch and Mary Thompson, about 1793 in Wallingford CT. (Mary Fitch was born on 20 Jul 1774 in Wallingford CT and died on 15 Jul 1796 in New Haven CT.)


Samuel next married Anna Badger in Jul 1797 in Windham CT. (Anna Badger was born on 27 Oct 1776 in Windham CT and died on 26 Aug 1864.)
