  • He appeared on the census in 1880 in Huntington CT. Listed as superintendent of cocoanut factory.
  • Partnership: Eraphras Chapman Maltby and John Curtiss, circa 1890-1896, in Wallingford CT. As MALTBY, STEVENS & CURTISS. The firm purchased the old works of HALL, ELTON & Co. and concentrated on manufacturing flatware 'in the metal' for plating firms like William Rogers. The firm was purchased by Watrous Manufacturing. 12

Elizur married Harriet Amelia Maltby, daughter of Eraphras Chapman Maltby and Hannah Smith Hoadley, on 3 Oct 1877. (Harriet Amelia Maltby was born on 17 Mar 1852 in Northford CT and died on 1 Jan 1905 in New Haven CT.)
